JOHNSON, MARK JOSEPH, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday February 21, 2014 from Prostate Cancer with his loving family by his side. He was born May 30, 1954 in Santa Maria, Ca. and raised in Redlands, Ca. Twelve Years ago, Mark and his wife Janet moved to Miami, FL. Mark is survived by his wife Janet Pearson Johnson, his mother Shirley Lamb (Jim); four sisters, Becki Bodden (Steve), Janet Harris, Laura Montenegro and Susan Ullrich; three brothers, Kent, Dean and Christopher Johnson (Rachael). He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. Mark was proceeded in death by his father Glen, and brother Scott. Mark worked as the CEO for Granit Transformation/Trend USA Ltd. He was on the advisory board for Nova University and a member of the International Franchise Association. Mark and his wife believed in philanthropy and gave to many charities, including his favorites, Neighbors 4 Neighbors and World Vision. Mark was also giving of his time when it came to his family, friends and colleagues. Mark was a man of honor who will be missed by many. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him knew he was a man with a big heart; he was a father figure to many and always opened his home to family and friends. His smile would light up a room and his laughter was contagious. He enjoyed football, politics, and traveling whether it was for business or pleasure, but most of all entertaining friends and family. We will cherish our memories and know we have not lost him but only gained a new guardian angel. The Neptune Society is facilitating a private Celebration of his Life at his home in Miami on March 14, 2014 from 7-10pm; there will also be a service in Redlands, Ca. on April 12 at the Holy Name of Jesus followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge. Marks family would like to thank the Catholic Hospice in Miami for all the tender loving care they provided. In lieu of flowers, Mark and his wife Janet requested that donations be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) www.pfc.org<http://www.pfc.org> or your local Catholic Hospice Foundation.
